Crew cabins

Each crew member had his own cabin.
In the passageway down here we find the crew cabins. This is where they slept and spent spare time when they wanted to be alone.

Originally there were 8 cabins in the aft, but one of them has been converted into a shower and wash room. The cabins are quite small, but they are sensibly furnished with many cupboards and drawers offering space for clothing and equipment. All of them also have a small wash basin. The crew had a shared toilet abaft on the main deck. The officer’s toilet was further forward.

The crew of the MT Oksøy worked shifts. In 1995 there were only 6 men on board. They had 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.
